Working on my major project proposal, and several other projects, are keeping me busy these days. Almost 3 weeks have passed by since my last post, so I decided to upload at least something, which I already have on my computer.
These photos have been taken about two weeks ago, after I attended a 35mm camera workshop at uni. This was my first time taking pictures with an SLR film camera (Pentax K1000, 50mm fix lens, ISO 400 b&w film), so basically it was just experimentation. It was fun, but I guess I will stick to my "old" DSLR cam :)

I just admire the way you've made your path to become such a pro.
ReplyDelete/retreating from arse -- Pista out./
Very cool pics. Especially the doors.
So what about the two white lines in the first picture?
I'm not a pro, just an enthusiastic hobby photographer, but I'm honored to hear that my work can provide a sort of impression like that. Although, I'm not really sure what you intended to mean by that "retreating from arse" thingy :D but thanks anyway.
ReplyDeleteThose white lines you were asking about are just some accidental stuff, I'm not sure myself either :P These kind of things do not happen along digital picture making, so it kind of reflects that it was taken with a film camera, and not with the use of modern technolgy.
But maybe they are just ghosts...I don't know.
Ghosts, I'm sure! :P
ReplyDeleteretreating from arse = kihúzom a fejem a seggedből már :P
ReplyDeletewell, i have seen people said to be pros, taking less impressive pictures.
what i meant, is your view. :)
maybe i just lack a good grip of art, but I think your studies and experience have made an effect on these pictures, even though you studied media and design.
or maybe you are just growing old, bold and wise. :D
ghost, i see. :)
So, that is why you put it in the top, to emphasize the fact, that these were taken by analog camera. Nice. :) (sorry for being slow...)
Ahaa, so "kihúzom a fejem a seggedből már"! Nope, still not getting it :D The translation did not help. It seems that from the "growing old, bold and wise", I'm missing the wise part ;)
ReplyDeleteI don't know, if my studies have anything to do with my photographing skills. I believe it has to do with personal environment and full commitment. As Malcolm Gladwell (if I remember correctly) wrote about it, becoming an expert in something is rather based on the individual's ability to put efforts in personal deveopment by doing it for 10,000 hours.
I think it needs a bit more than practicing something for a long time, (for example critical feedbacks), but his theory sounds can be true as well.
